The NATE FOUNDATION

was created to honor the life of Nate Contreras. He was a friend that you could depend on. He lived life to the fullest. Those that had the privilege of knowing Nate would describe him as unselfish, clever, and funny. For the short time Nate was here, he made a great impact on many lives by showing them that being kind to others is essential.

Nate was an avid snowboarder. He became an instructor at Sierra Summit so he could teach and share his passion with others. The family and friends of Nate have selected SKI JAMIN, INC. (Ski Institute for Junior American Minority Inner-city Neighborhoods) a 12-week winter sports program that teaches underprivileged at risk minority youth to ski and snowboard, to be the recipient of the proceeds from the fundraising efforts of the NATE FOUNDATION.
